A one hundred dollar bill. Outside my work. I held onto it, for a couple days
in my desk, just in case someone came and asked. I would have gave it back
But nobody ever did claim it. So......ca ching !

I found a little over $500 on the floor of a bar in Athens Ga. Gave it to the bartender is case someone came looking, but I think the bartender wanted to keep it from the look on his face.

I was in a bar in Portugal and these really annoying German tourists kept bumping into me and my friend and spilling our drinks. They were loud and obnoxious, and eventually the bar owner asked them to leave. Later when the bar closed they turned up the lights and I found several hundred Deutschmarks on the floor. I think it ended up being a little over $250.

i found 9 - $100.00 bills in a wallet that was unretrieved in the lost and found. was in there for two years. everyone had gone thru all the wallets trying to contact the owners to no avail. this was an awesome wallet. i got dibs on it and when the time came, my boss presented it to me. i went to my car, threw out all the junk in it, found a secret compartment, opened it up and found the nine hundred bucks. a friend of mine found a bag with $2000.00 cash in it sitting on top of an outside soda machine one night . he figured it belonged to a wealthy local grocer so waited til the next day to return it to him. the police and the media were there already when my friend approached them with the money and told them his story. he was rewarded with a single bottle of warm soda. the police and the media were furious and bagged on the grocer right there. they asked my friend why he didn't just keep the money. he told them his family was extremely poor and for him to have that kinda money wouldn't go unnoticed in our small town so he decided to do the right thing and give it back. word got out quick and the whole town was furious at the grocer for only giving the kid a warm bottle of soda so they all refused to go to his store for anything. he had to shut down several months later. when the grocer was later asked by the media if he had any remorse for not giving my friend a better reward, he had none. stupid is as stupid does.

$977 dollars to be exact outside in an envelope next to the dumpster outside of a place I used to work. That really helped me alot for christmas. I felt so guilty by not turning it in. Had fun spending it though.
