I heard a quote from the Supreme Cmdr. of Cdn. Forces in Afganistan saying that, "We are there because the Afganis (sp?) deserve freedom". Well, if fighting forces and bringing freedom is our agenda, why arent we also fighting the dozen or so wars in Africa too, bringing freedom there? And who decided the Afganis freedom is more important? And as far as the terrorist argument goes, the Taliban are no more terrorists than the IRA in Ireland...I know BS when I hear it...and this BS fills truckloads!!

I want to have an old fashion wedding, no catering, except for cake, tea, coffee and some other little cakes and cookies and drinks! Want some dancing, but don't want to spend a lot for food, when we can enjoy each other company! I was told to have it after 8:00 PM, as it will entail no food, and give time for others to eat before coming. How would you word the invitiation! Cake and Tea offered at end of Ceremony? But, I want dancing, as my son (10) is giving me away, since my parents and siblings passed away, over two years ago, so my son is giving me away, church wedding, small ceremony with dancing, as my son and I picked this song, awhile ago, so want him to enjoy and understand what love means and that he took over his Pop Pop's position, by giving me away, as he can say NO, but my Fiancee is bribing him, but they are pals! OK,I ramble, but don't know what the right etiqute for just Cake/Deserts/Tea/Coffee/deserts/drinks/ and dancing. Is there a name for it, like what type?

in our church, worshippers claim that the Lord God is Jesus. I even heard it from our priest. But the bible says that God is Jehova? It is His name! But i wonder, no one in our family (which has been an active member of our church) knows about Jehova. I just wonder why? And almost the rest of the people in our community.Yes, they heard about the name, and that's all. That's all and no one cares! Honestly I never heard any priest speak this name during testimonies. Anyone could give me the EXACT explanation of this? I need to know and anyone with a situation like mine needs too.

This girl I know really annoys me and she isn't really that good looking. But after about 7 beers I start to notice things about her I didnt before. Her face is better looking, she sounds sophisticated and smart, and having some sex doesn't seem to far off. We were laying in bed after sex, beer, and some peyote and I guess she was talking about the future or some other woman babble and I ended up agreeing to her parents coming over to meet me! I am so mad! The only thing I said to her that I remember was 'I wish vagina tasted like mrs butterworth's instead of canned corn'. Should I just explain the situation to her parents or what?

First....let me give you background in what I believe and if you believe the same....please don't hesitate to answer. I believe that Jesus is the Son of the living God and that he gave his life for Me so that I may have eternal life.
Now on to the question.....what are some of the ways you've found effective for you to meet decent christian men who share your faith and who are able to take a spiritual leadership role in the home. Besides church....what other functions have you found are good places to meet people of like faith?
