in our church, worshippers claim that the Lord God is Jesus. I even heard it from our priest. But the bible says that God is Jehova? It is His name! But i wonder, no one in our family (which has been an active member of our church) knows about Jehova. I just wonder why? And almost the rest of the people in our community.Yes, they heard about the name, and that's all. That's all and no one cares! Honestly I never heard any priest speak this name during testimonies. Anyone could give me the EXACT explanation of this? I need to know and anyone with a situation like mine needs too.

Jesus Christ is the Word of God.
John 1:1 says, In the beginning was the Word (Jesus) and the Word (Jesus) was with God, and the Word (Jesus) was God.

We only have one God. God the Father, God the Son, god the Holy Spirit. The I am that I am.

We pray to the Father in the name of His Son Jesus Christ. This confirms that we are who we say we are. Christians.

Spend time in a good King James Version 1611 Bible. Alls there for you to know.><>

What denomination do you belong to. Believe it or not, it changes the way you look at things. These same things you are talking about was one of the reasons why we have so many different denominations in Christianity.

I had my own problems. If Jesus was God, then why would he pray to himself? If anyone knew what was on his mind, he should? Jesus was the son of God. How can you be the son and the Father? God is perfect yet he shows signs of being a narcissist?

Read "The Power of Myth" by Joesph Campbell. I don't know if you will find it as enlightening as I did. Not all Christians have the same concept of Christianity.

"In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
This refers to the Holy trinity...Here is all you need to know:'When Jesus (Son) died on the cross because The Father asked him to do this to save humanity, He became one with the Father(Our Father in Heaven)In death, Jesus became God , He became one with the Father who Has always been God....The Father , the Son and The Holy Spirit are one...Hence we have 'God'in all his full glory.
Jesus said"No one can go to the Father except through me"...this means that even though Jesus became God when he died and was united with the Father(God)..He is not the Father, he is our Lord God.The Holy Spirit represents the strong bond they share between them as one God.
The name Jehova, Yaweh etc..are names that represent Jesus and Our Father. Most know that Jesus is The son's name, our Lord's name but no one knows The Father's name....this is what creates the confusion. Thank you for a great question, I hope that I was helpful..I hope I haven't confused you further.

The name Jehovah means God. Jehovah was mentioned in the Old Testament.
Have you heard of the Trinity? There was 3, God the Almighty Father, Jesus Christ our Savior who is also God's son, and the Holy Ghost our Comforter.
Maybe this will help.......Think of it like this...You, your Father and Mother...Say your grandparents come to visit, do they only love one of you? No they love all 3 of you.
They see each of you as one individual person, but they also know and see all 3 of you as one family.
Hope that helps.

There is only One God.

Jesus is not God.
He is a Prophet / Messenger of God.

Jesus never said that he was God, neither did he say that he was the son of God.

The Christians should realize that the current day "bible" is not in its original form. There have been many amendments and changes made by humans.

Read the following:
"Opening- True Gospel of Jesus, called Christ, a new prophet sent by God to the world: according to the description of Barnabas his apostle.

Barnabas, apostle of Jesus the Nazarene, called Christ, to all them that dwell upon the earth desireth peace and consolation.

Dearly beloved the great and wonderful God hath during these past days visited us by his prophet Jesus Christ in great mercy of teaching and miracles, by reason whereof many, being deceived of Satan, under presence of piety, are preaching most impious doctrine, calling Jesus son of God, repudiating the circumcision ordained of God for ever, and permitting every unclean meat: among whom also Paul hath been deceived, whereof I speak not without grief; for which cause I am writing that truth which I have seen and heard, in the intercourse that I have had with Jesus, in order that ye may be saved, and not be deceived of Satan and perish in the judgment of God. Therefore beware of every one that preacheth unto you new doctrine contrary to that which I write, that ye may be saved eternally. The great God be with you and guard you from Satan and from every evil. Amen."

jesus is god, the father is god, the holy spirit is god, these are 3 manifestations of one god, one is not the other, they are all their own identity and being, but each one is god, and they are all one.. the bible says there are 3 wich bear record in heaven the father, word, and holy ghost. i would get out of the catholic religion, its bound for hell, i can prove it if you im me. there are contradictions at every turning point where the catechism and the bible are compared.. the caterchism is written by men, the bible by God. who would you trust, man or God? i couldreference numerous scriptures to show you what i mean, but you prolly wouldn't check it out, just take it at my word.. i'm a minister, i don't want that, i want people to learn. so if you wanna learn im me stinger_449

There is only one true GOD, the GOD in heaven. Jesus said many times that GOD is the only one who is good and that those who want salvation should pray only to GOD and follow GOD's law. Since then, many Christians decided to do away with Jesus's teachings and decided to worship Jesus instead and pretend that because he died, it doesn't matter if they sin or not as long as they keep worshipping a man, effectively giving GOD and Jesus Christ the finger in one fell swoop.

Personally, I think it is all utter rot. GOD is GOD.

Jehovah, yes, is the correct name for God. (Isa 42:8; 54:5) He wants people to know him by his name and to USE it in their worship of him.
He sent what is known as his 'only begotten son' , meaning the first Angel that he created, and thus the most special of them all to him, Michael, or Jesus, down to Earth, to die as a ransom for our lives .

See, when perfect Adam and Eve died, they messed things up. So, Jehovah had his perfect son come to Earth and live a perfect life and die as a perfect man to prove to Satan it could be done. And when JC did this, it balanced out the scales, so to speak, so that a life paid for a life, Jesus for Adam. And with that, Jesus set up a New Kingdom. He made it possible for the Earth to be made into a New World, a perfect world like the Garden of Eden , which had been promised to mankind. And he also made a kingdom in the Heavens possible where he would rule as king for a thousand years , along with a specific number of his most faithful and loving followers. But the Earth , as a paradise, what good would that be if we all were dropping dead on it still?? Well, Jehovah had meant for us ALL to live forever originally. So in that new system, after the great battle of Armeggedon where Satan and Jesus have this Great Fight and Jesus binds him up in chains and throws him in a dark, deep place for 1000 years, all those alive will get to help make this poor , torn up world, back into a paradise Earth!!! And then, also during that time, Jehovah will be bringing all the dead loved ones we have lost , back to life during the resurrection and giving all of them the chance to learn about him and his great works and promises! Can you imagine getting toknow people like Moses and Noah?? What about Ruth? I want to meer her , personally. Then, after the 1000, when everyone has had a chance to learn of Jehovah, and Jesus' sacrifice on their behalves and allhave been growing to perfection; remember- no one is dying or getting sick and all have been growing into perfectly healthy bodies with no illness in this time...all are healthy and happy!. Then after 1000 years of learn of Jehovah WITHOUT Satan and his Demon's influences around us , pure perfection... so nice! But now Satan and his demons will be let loose for a "SHORT TIME" and be free to try their evil tricks and nasty temptations on all of the people to do their best to turn as many away as possible. And the Bible says that as many as the 'sands of the sea' will turn away. But after that short time, those knowing Jehovah that have turned and Satan and his horde, will all be thrown into a lake of fire for instant destruction and be no more. They made their choice. No eternal suffering, no hellfire and brimstone, just quick, and immediate destruction.

Then, those left will live forever in paradise on Earth and never again will anyone be able to ever say again " I am sick".
Does that sound like too much to you? Like a fairy tale or a sci/fi or fantasy script? Well , it isn't . Its in the Bible and each and every prophecy in the Bible leads up that final ending. And all of the prophecies have come true, except one and we are waiting for it.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me or to attend any meetings at a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and ask for information. They will be MORE than happy to answer any and all questions that you have.
