I would imagine that the people who are below that imaginary level wouldn't know that they are below average.
Unless they took a test and were told that they did poorly.
But that still wouldn't tell you if they believed it.

of course there is below average intelligence....retarted people...who really want help from specialists, also there are some syndroms like Down Syndrome, and one of its characteristics is below average intelligence.

Funny thing about intelligence--people are not capable of understanding or comprehending any intelligence greater than their own. So, a person might be aware that others are smarter than they are, they will not comprehend how.
