My daughter is 8 now and since kindergarden she has been having trouble staying on task, well I have put her on ritalin in the 1st grade and when the teacher knew she was on it, she was saying it worked great. But when my daughter complained of stomach pains, I took her off of it and for nearly three months the teacher did not know that she was off. Then I started hearing about all the side effects, so it is not an option for me any more. But every year they try and make me put her on meds. The special school district came in and tested her and said that she scored to high on the tests to get any special classes. Now she is in third grade and having the same problems. The teacher is now trying to talk me into putting her on meds again. I am so fed up with people trying to talk me into drugging my child. What else can I do?????

First Question:

Does Cherry mean Cherish in Italian or French?..

Second Question:

What else can you think of that means friendship? If you can find one, please explain like this:

I've got 3 now.
1. Rose - Even though it has torns, it might just point someone accidently without and purpose, But, it might still be a beauty to someone.
2. Watch - Watching a friend's every move Making sure nothing goes wrong.
3. Cherry - Cherry means Cherish in [Italian or French]

Thanks

The so-called Christians who support posting the Ten Commandments seem silent on posting the Sermon on the Mount.
Opponents of the commandments claim that the commandments, among other things, insist on a monotheistic viewpoint.
The Sermon on the Mount is about social justice. The argument is made that social justice is NOT really a high priority for the Religious Right, but imposing their monotheistic viewpoint is.

This has been bothering me since yesterday. Okay, what's the pattern? (My friends said it's so easy that it's hard. Like that helps... :P)

EXAMPLES -
I like bottles, but not cans.
I like forks, but not spoons.
I like to see, but I don't like the sea.

They said it has nothing to do with the number of letters or the order they come in the alphabet.

...for anyone else's beliefs?

Oh, and bonus question: How many people have been killed by Christians for not believing in Christianity? Just take a random shot at this one.

My ex and I have been broken up for about a month now (we were together for over 2 years). We had some problems in the past, he has cheated on me before
(i forgave him and gave him another chance because he begged).
I wasn't able to trust him after that, I would always bring up that he has cheated on me in the past and I would always accuse him of doing so. For a while everything was cool with us until I saw that some girl was calling his phone, i asked him about it and he got mad (we argued) and told me he was tired of this **** and didn't care about the relationship. We broke up and I found out that he slept with the girl a few days after we had our argument. Do you consider him a cheater since it was right after we argued (broke up)? I checked his phone bill and he was talking to the girl for 2 weeks while we were together, but he says it was on a friend level. So do you all think that he was cheating? He said he slept with her because he was mad a me.

i wrote something 3 days ago on here about my dad that made people write really mean things back to me. sorry if i offended anyone.
all i wanted was to know if anyone else deals with parents like this.
i am embarassed of my dad because he is a nerd. i cant help it how i feel.
what i am dealing with now is that my dad has completely ignored me since i said what i said to him. if i ask him something he turns into a zombie. he wont look at me. he talks to my mom and they joke around with each other. but now my dad has stopped eating. he wont eat and my mom is worried. she blames me. my dad is acting so weird and he looks sick. right now i wouldn't mind homework help from my dad. but for the past few days he doesnt act like i exist. tonight my dad didnt come home until almost 7:00 and the last class he taught ended at 3:50. my mom was worred because he NEVER comes home late and he didnt call. how do i get things back to normal???

Not Woody Allen as a person, Woody Allen movies.

I know he's done some questionable things in his personal life, but I think he's a filmmaking genius.

If you agree: what's your fave movie of his??? For me it's a tie between Annie Hall and Manhattan.

According to Christianity, God made everything. That means EVERYTHING. He made everything with great purpose. That is to say that nothing he made was a mistake or an accident. Everything, and every characteristic/nature of said things, he made, was done so purposefully.

So let me get this straight. The following is what Christians ACTUALY believe:

I was out doing some things in the front garden the other day, and the kids across the street were being silly, and yelling hello, and wiggling like crazy. I was yelling hello right back, and wiggling, as well. They are immigrants, and their parents don't speak English very well, so I thought they might not know how to do the Hokey Pokey. While we were having an impromptu Hokey Pokey class on my lawn, some other kids from the neighborhood came and joined us, and I was very surprised that although they were born and raised here in the US, they had never even heard of the Hokey Pokey. I taught kids from four different families that day, and NONE of them had any idea such a silly song/dance/game existed. That made me wonder if the Hokey Pokey has been banned in schools or something. When I was a kid, you learned it in Kindergarten if you didn't already know it, and it was a favorite activity. Has the Hokey Pokey disappeared?

From my understanding, the bible (the christian god's word) says that if I don't worship him, I'll be tortured in Hell for all eternity. That's not very tolerant of him. He doesn't seem very friendly towards people with other points of view. Why should I worship him if he's going to be so mean and discriminate against others?

horrible sometimes. i've been working hard to put this whole trip together, and he hasn't even done a thing...i don't know if he's even thanked me. and tonight, after a really bad day at work, and a week where i barely got any sleep, and being incredibly stressed out, he got mad and took it out on me...im so tired of this...of crying and feeling horrible again and again. he always has"good reasons" for getting angry, but then finds some excuse the next day (sorry;"i was tired") to dismiss it. i'm a really supportive, loving gf and i know i don't deserve to be treated this way. i want to be with someone who appreciates me and doesn't explode in anger all the time. i don't even know anymore if this is normal..because of his anger, i'm always second-guessing myself. anyway, our flight leaves tomorrow for the weekend (and is non-refundable). my face is red from crying, i'm beyond exhausted(no sleep all week, from trip planning),stressed to the max, and i still have to pack. what should i do?
