Not Woody Allen as a person, Woody Allen movies.

I know he's done some questionable things in his personal life, but I think he's a filmmaking genius.

If you agree: what's your fave movie of his??? For me it's a tie between Annie Hall and Manhattan.

I liked Match Point too, but I like his older stuff for some weird reason. Also, Small Time Crooks was his funniest by far.

Woody Allen movies are all great. I like dialog comedy as opposed to physical comedy.

I've seen about 10 of his films, and I know when I see a Woody Allen movie that it will be at least pretty good. Everyone seemed to reccomend "Annie Hall" ,"Manhattan," and "Bullets Over Broadway," to me, when I was just getting started, but I've found that my tastes are different than most, as the movies of his that I like, are usually regarded as his "worst" by most people and can be often found in bargain bins. My top three favorite Allen films are: 1)Hollywood Ending, 2)The Curse of the Jade Scorpion and 3)Anything Else.

Two are all time fav's of mine:
1. Sleeper- where he is frozen and brought back in the future- the sex machine gag always makes me laugh and all of the slapstick comedy is really a gem!

2. Take the Money and Run- there is so much going on in this one that it is hard to list a highlight but a couple would include trying to steal gumballs and get the machine stuck on his hand (running down the road with it danging), playing a cello in a marching band where he has to put down-then move the chair along the way every time to sit down to play and finally the soap stick-up gun that melts into a hand full of suds because it rained!--I still a laugh at those even after seeing them both so many times!

I admit that I was wondering why people still gave him money to make movies, and then I saw Annie Hall and it all made sense. It is my favorite by far.

I cannot stand Woody Allen movies. I really don't care for all of that New York crap.

I think Match Point is one of the most brilliant movies I've ever seen. Sometimes he repeats himself, but his work is always smart.

I love Mighty Aphrodite. Its one of my favorite films.I think I like his quirkiness. I'm not much of a movie critic nor have I seen many of his movies but I really really like that one...
