my understanding was this..they started out friends..
then one night tupac was recording a song..and he was shot serveral times and he blamed biggie for it and never got over that, and from there tupac called up faith evans which was biggies girl who has a child with him and asked her to do a song with him and of course she did and tupac made it sound like they did more then just the recording and it was a big mess..so it was a bunch of going back and forth and never quite coming to peace
both of them are missed by both familes and their fans

It was all of bunch of nonsense that wasn't worth it considering both of them ended up dead. Just rivals rap artists who put more time and energy into dissing each other instead of focusing on their careers and other things.
