Well why do atheists or non Christians freak out if you say something about God? Dude, it goes both ways and besides im not even a person that freaks out but has no tolerance. I know the truth and im content. I wish others knew it as well but a bunch of yelling wont work. I respect everyone the same, even though I dont support some of the beliefs.
And if a 'christian' killed someone for not being a Christian then they ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN! Duh. God is all about love. No where in the Bible does it say preach the good news but if they dont listen just go ahead and kill them. That may be some religions but not Christianity. Also, if you are at all interested in learning about some Christians killed then read Jesus Freaks. Its a good book.

No one likes to have their beliefs challenged..no matter how wrong they may be.

It's funny because Christianity is supposed to be about loving your fellow man, turning the other cheek, not judging other people and treating others as you would be treated... And yes, I do realize that not all Christians are intolerant...but the majority I've met in my years have been.

As for the bonus question, I have no idea, but I'm guessing it's a rather large number. It's easier to kill someone who isn't like you than it is to accept them the way they are.

I'm a Christian, I get upset when someone is vulgar and rude. You can challenge my beliefs all day long and thats ok. No one likes to be attacked, and will usually become defensive when they are, this is human nature. I am a human, who is a Christian, I have faults and I struggle from time to time, just like you. My belief in God and his word is my strength and salvation. I don't know how many have been killed, I do know saying you are a Christian and being a Christian are 2 different things. God Bless!!

I am not so sure if people are killed for being non-believers. what I know are just people who kill irregardless of their beliefs. In fact, the news I got eversince I arrive in this country, believers are the ones I know get killed like in Columbine High. Like 9/11 incident although I know there were Jews and Muslims and other religions inside the towers it is a Non-Christian who boastfully claimed they did it. Christians do not belong to the terrorists group although there is possibility that there are sympathizers. And during the Roman glorious times Christians are being fed to the lions and humiliated in the arena aside from the Jews.

You're talking about organized Christians. Catholics and Protestants. The people who did inquistions, genocide, Cruases, witch burnings, etc.

What makes you think these people are Christians!

There a lot of Islamics out there that say Bin LAden, the Ayatollah and the Clerics don't speak for them and they don't pratice Jihad.

The false prophets and those who follow them deserve to be tested, put on the spot and forced to publish their beliefs to witnesses. This way when God passes judgement God will have testimoney, even if it comes from Atheists!

This Christian says: give me your best shot. I promise you won't offend me. (You may offend God, but that's between you and Him.)

How do you define tolerance? I think I'm tolerant of others' beliefs in the sense that I'm not going to kill you or persecute you just because you have no interest in becoming a Christian.

I don't know of anyone who was killed by Christians for not accepting Christianity. True Christians were not behind the Crusades. If I kill you in the name of Jesus, that does not make be a Christian.

There have been, however, millions of followers of Jesus Christ who have given their lives for their faith in Christ. And it's still happening today in countries like India, Pakistan, China, N. Korea.

A lot killed. And they practice blind faith, without questioning the source of their religion. Their own Bible says that if a man truly searches for the truth, then God himself will make it available for them. I don't call reading the one book and stopping there searching particularly hard.

Remember there are some nice Christians too, I only get attacked by the loony ones.
an empty vessel makes the loudest noise.

" I would argue that the Crusades was not led by Christians"!!!

It was led by the Roman Catholic Church against the Ottoman empire!

like I said "empty vessels".

The Key word here is "attacks" . If you attack, you should expect a counter-attack. and for the bonus question: I would say about the same that were killed for being Christians.

Your question about Christians killing non believers...not as many as you think. There are only a few times in history that anyone can attribute to Christians killing anyone. And I would argue the crusades weren't led by christians. BUT...millions upon millions have been killed by Muslims. Since Muhammed made it up, he commaded his followers to kill infidels. They have done it since the beginning and do it to this day. Read the Koran/Quran...compare it to the Bible... Christians aren't what you are making them out to be.

And it's not a lack of tolerance. To be tolerant you have to accept what people do. A Christian is commanded by God to live a life as close to Him as possible. They can't accept the lifestyle of the world. Just because they don't condone your lifestyle or others for that matter doesn't mean they are wrong. They believe God gave them guidelines and they have to follow them...by separating themselves from those that would influence them in the wrong direction, by trying to lead people to Christ, by defending God. You have to defend what you believe in or your a hypocrite.
