I've been working for a company who pays more than average of what people my age or older than me is earning. But then I have to work at night and i've been really sick and getting tired of it. I feel like there's no growth for me in this company and no challenge. And I was offered this day job,the salary is a lot smaller but then I like the working environment and what my role will be in this new job. How about you? Would you go for a night job that pays more but you're no longer happy there, you have to literally drag yourself to work. Or go for an average paying day job with a nice working environment? Thanks :)

Could it be that "these hairdressers" know that most men like long hair better? Ladies, don't you get it? They flaunt "their long hair" while you walk away looking like a boy.

Let them go! Do you really want them, or do you want the feeling of ownership? Do you want the feeling of having more than another, to be made happy by things seemingly permanent?

You know deep down that they stand in the way of your becoming truly human. Why then do you cling? Release them, give them away, possess only what you need to climb to true humanity.

My husband and I are best friends and lovares so I feel all the pain that he feels plus my own. His last grandmother passed away on Sunday, and on Monday night his father was put on life support. The doctor is now trying to keep his father alive untill he and his brothers get back this evening from their granny's funeral. I have been to ICU and stayed with daddy and it tears your heart open to see him mouth " help me " but he has last stage pulmonary fribroids. and is on 14 liters of o2. Oh his mother passed away 5 months ago also. PLEASE give me a uplifting word, or just a prayer that will help my husband get through this, or be able to handle his death if they don't get back in time

1) I wouldn't send anyone to Hell, since it's infinite punishment and no one is infinitely evil.

2) I don't hide out in Never-Never Land and demand people believe in me, without proof or even evidence.

3) I wouldn't sit idly by while natural disasters ("Acts of God") happen, or while massive human atrocities occur. Say what you will about Free Will, but when a child is about to hurt themselves or others, a caring parent intervenes.

4) I'd take responsibility for myself. I wouldn't create imperfect beings, then get all mad when they turn out to be imperfect, and go do something rash like drown everybody.

Yep, I'm better than God.

My husband and I have been together for 6 years. When we first got together we partied a lot, and had a lot of fun. I supported the household, while his $ went towards partying. We have since then cleaned up our acts, bought a house, got married, he adopted my daughter, and we have also settled down and become christians, and even joined a church....
The problem is, my husband has all of a sudden decided to go back to smoking pot, and I dont approve of it. I dont want to divorce my husband, I love him very much... He used to be a very wonderful and supportive person, now he is verbally, and mentally abusive, gets somewhat physical at times, and is back to taking drugs.... How can I confront the situation without losing my husband????
PLEASE NO SMART REMARKS, THIS IS SOMETHING THAT IS VERY SERIOUS TO ME....
THIS SITUATION ALSO AFFECTS MY DAUGHTER AS WELL!!!! (she doesnt know exactly why daddy is acting the way he is, but it is just as hard for her to deal with his abuse!!!)

When the IRA were bombing, police paid particular attention to Irish Catholics....it made sense. If the police in the USA are looking for KKK members they pay attention to Caucasians....it makes sense. In the light of events in recent years, if you are looking for suicide bombers, surely it makes sense to pay particular attention to young Moslem men.

The stereotypical "jim_darwinite" based on the fact that I know 99%of them, is that they are mainly college educated professionals in the workplace aged 20-30 who dig budhism and stuff like this and want to feel connected to other people but dont want to deal with believing in fairy tales that there arent evidence for, probably evolutionists, probably love America and love freedom. Probably vote Democratic.

Thats my stereotype.

Once again, I've a question on the French language. I was wondering if anyone had some great ways to understand and fluently be able to use French negation.
Before you ask, I've already asked a French teacher to no avail: "You always use "ne 'verb' pas", otherwise it's incorrect." And she's French!
Would the book "Sentential Negation in French" ISBN: 0195125916 be of any help to me?
