When the IRA were bombing, police paid particular attention to Irish Catholics....it made sense. If the police in the USA are looking for KKK members they pay attention to Caucasians....it makes sense. In the light of events in recent years, if you are looking for suicide bombers, surely it makes sense to pay particular attention to young Moslem men.

There is nothing wrong with profiling. The hand wringers and bed wetters do not approve of it, but so what?

What about the 2 men that got thrown off a plane to Britain from malaga because some of the other passengers did their own profiling and refused to fly with them. These men did nothing wrong apart from being nervous about a flight but just because of their colour they were branded terrorists.
How many suicide bombers have their been in America and Britain compared to the number of young Muslim men, that's a lot of false accusations going about .
Getting stopped every time you go somewhere on the suspicion of being a suicide bomber purely based on the colour of your skin is racist.

Sure, she was dark, she got black hair, and she looked a little shy looking around at the busy airport.
Ah, said the CIA: she must be a lady terrorist. Immediately , we got the news, the clever Yankees supermen have caught a suspect terrorist of Middle eastern appearance.
Three days have passed with 12 hours/day investigation and suddenly an apology. SHE was a French woman!
It was only profiling. This incident happened only a few months ago. The Terrorist lady was looking for her husband who has in fact missed the plane .
By the way, my partner is a blond Muslim. we got away with with it. Have not we?

Because you may offend a terrorist. (Not an innocent Muslim who detests the thought of terrorism.) And we can't hurt their feelings (even though they'd murder us and our children)....that would be rude!
