High-quality, loose tea leaves offer more healthy properties, and a better taste than most teabags offer. According to scientific research, high-quality, fresh, whole-leaf teas may be up to 300% healthier than low-grade teabags. Most teabags are mass-produced and typically use the cheapest, poorest form of tea.
With most commercial teabags, a low grade product is ground into dust and packaged in the standard thin paper box and plastic wrap, which does little to protect the nutritional value of the leaves. Nearly all of the teabags found on grocery store shelves are well past their prime; the small bits of tea infuse unevenly in hot water so the resulting brew may have more caffeine and less healthy benefits.
Additionally, many companies use cheap, synthetic chemicals to flavor their tea. Unfortunately, these artificial chemicals are not required by law to appear on the labels, so we may not even know what we're drinking!
Loose leaves unfurl in the cup and release the full flavor and nutritionial properties of the tea.

It is EXACTLY like comparing carrot juice from a typical juicer-- to carrot juice from the filtered squeezings of pulverized carrot paste!
The squeezing process extracts MANY more nutritional benefits from the produce than the juicer by wasting not a single iota of the precious natural fluid of the carrot.
The same effect applies to whole tea leaves.
The magic of the tea is left intact!
----Why do bananas stay fresh in their skin for weeks?
----Why does the avacado meat or even guacamole stay fresh while in contact with the pit?
The life-giving products of the earth's soil inexplicably offer their most potent health-giving life forces when consumed intact.
Especially the amazing tea leaf.
Meat on the other hand, contains lots of concentrated toxins---just wanted to add that!

Definitely because you're getting more of the natural oils. Prepackaged tea bags generally are lower grade or are the "dust" remnants which lack the medicinal qualities. And you should always choose organic because tea is one of the most heavily sprayed with pesticides and you'll be stuck with a toxic brew.

Not really, it all depends on the quality of the tea leave it's self. Tea like coffee or other drinks can differ in quality by company putting it out. But tea leafs are tea leafs no matter how they are packaged.

health benefits? I'm doubtful they are very big ones, probably just more cellulose (which kills calories like cellary). It just tastes better.

Use the "cave man rules" to decide what is better. If it was available to cave men it is probably better. You can't beat mother nature.
