I'm not homo or anything just to let people know. I just happen to have a thing with wanting to help people, and I really don't want to spend 8+ years of my life becoming a doctor. I have my heart set on becoming a certified nursing asst. (I'm 16) and i someday hope to be an RN. What's everyone's thoughts on the issue?

How long would it take for:
1) The troops in Iraq to storm across the border?
2) The National guard to secure every gas station and fuel depo?
3) The price of fuel to extend above $30-50/gallon?
4) The government to issue ration cards to every citizen?
5) The economy to crumble under the economic pressure (all commodities would rise severly)?

Additionally what are other threats to that situation? Is this situation out of the question? was this a good question?

my mother is 86 years old and have Diabetes,she's been on insulin for about 60 days.now tonight i took a look at her legs. and there are open sores on the leg, and people with diabetes are at special risk of developing problems, what can i do about the sores untill tomorrow? she dont care to go to the doctor, but i'm taking her anyway i don't think it's been on there for a long period of time but i'm not sure. can i put anything on it untill then?

For those that believe there is no morality outside of religion, feel free to say that simply.

For those of us that believe that ethics or morality can exist outside of religion, what's the justification thereof? Obviously, society creates a series of rules and regulations that are intended to be towards its best interests. But what's the evidence that the best interests of society and humanity is something to be supported? "A better world is a good thing" doesn't require religion, until you realize you have to define what a good thing is; doesn't that defeat some of the nihlism?

Certainly, morality doesn't require GOD or a hell or anything, but at some point we have to define that we have values. Is there an objective way to define values that benefit society, or is it merely majority opinion (much like religion)?
