There's many reasons. First of all, I wonder if by evolution (if you believe that), men are meant to spread their seeds so they may have this instinctive urge to wander. Secondly, complacency can make some men bored in the bedroom and married life and the appeal of dating other women seem fascinating. Thirdly, many women who are married especially with children tend to let themselves go. When a woman becomes 20-30 pounds heavier and gave up on grooming herself, her sex appeal is pretty much nonexistent and this can turn men off. Fourthly, even if a woman is strikingly beautiful and successful like Christie Brinkley, some men may target women who have less beauty and success because of their ego - they want to be with someone who is less powerful in his presence.
And so on and so forth....the list goes on. Bottom line is: love can bond two people together but love alone can not sustain a marriage. There's many more elements involved than we realize.

Because he's a womanizer and needs to be found out. Why don't you gather data on all the women that has been with? get their numbers and meet with them at a coffee shop. Then call him and ask him to meet you there?
You and the other females can gang up on him in public: ridicule and disgrace him. Make it an event that he will never forget!
Revenge can be just sooooooooooo sweet.
Try it - you'll love it and he will be taught a hard lesson.
