According to Wikipedia, the song "Hero" was by Chad Kroeger and was in the film Spider-Man. Chad Kroeger is the lead singer of Nickelback, and it was recorded with Josey Scott of Saliva.

Sounds like something Cliff Richard; although he's "No Hero" nor is he a spider, man or dare, and if he's a devil, it would explain a few things.
