In Britain there was a long running TV show in which viewers would get to vote for the 'Greatest Briton in history. Each episode a candiate would be argued for by a well known contempory person. It was a great series and attracted more votes than pop idol. That is surprising for an intellectual show. Se some of significant Britons mentioned below.

I am interested in what an American top ten would look like - whats yours?

So here are some of the key Britons:

(a) Winston Churchill (he was votest Greatest by the public)

(b) William Shakespear

(c) Kingdom Brunel (Britain was the first country in the world to have an industrial revolution and he was the greatest industrial entrepeneur)

(d) Isaac Newton

(e) Charles Darwin

(f) Horatio Nelson - defeated Napoleon at Trafalgar and so stopped him conquering Britain as he had the rest of Europe.

(g) John Lennon

(i) Alan Turing (inventor of the computer)

(j) Alexander Fleming (discovered penicillin)

First itunes wouldn't recognise my ipod, so then I tried to update it, computer shut down in mid update, it erased all of my songs off my ipod and now my computer will not recognise my ipod at all! I have no idea what to do, I've tried all I can think of, please help!!!

I have worn it in braids at night and then I would take them out and my hair would be wavy. The thing is that I like my hair that's already straight, and it's also thick, but it's hard to take care of. It gets tangled after the shower or after working out. Does anyone know of a good brush or comb I can buy at the store and the brand, because the ones I have pull out too much hair.

one day i was watching made on mtv and this boy won prom King from his high school. I want some answers from girls who have a committed relationship, or who have been in one.

I was washing my hands and noticed my bf's wallet and some cards and paper laying on the counter. The moron left them there and right on top was a card with a girl's name and number on it!

When I asked him about it, he told me that he was at the store and the girl just started commenting on his clothes,she then asked what he was doing that night he said he was busy with his mom (he was helping her out with stuff).

She asked where he lived he told her, she said she lives close by. Then she offered him her number, and he said he didn't want to refuse it because he didn't want to embarass the girl. I was skeptical because he is very flirtsy, but says he wasn't flirting and that he didn't think to mention that he's taken

He said I made a big deal about it, and that no other girl would get upset...and that is what irks me. Is he right, am I crazy or would this upset any girlfriend?
