That I made it on my own terms, with my own efforts, paid by my own income, and despite the best efforts of others wanting to put me down and keep me down -- I EARNED my Military Retirement by SERVING my country faithfully and have raised my two children on my own -- in other words, I am an INDEPENDENT woman. This is what I am proudest of --
