We should, if we acknowledge that Jesus is our savior. For whatever we ask in his name shall receive. Just to share with you, prior I came to know about this, I did not end my prayer in the name of Jesus. The beauty is that my prayers still granted and received. I really love him!

It is written:
Joh 14:12 Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes on Me, the works that I do he shall do also, and greater works than these he shall do, because I go to My Father.
Joh 14:13 And whatever you may ask in My name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Joh 14:14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
Joh 14:15 If you love Me, keep My commandments.

But you can pray how ever you want GOd or Jesus, He will know and understand. You can also add "In the name of Jesus"

Yes, of course. This shows that we respect Jesus' position and that we have faith in his ransom sacrifice.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME. So it is required to end the prayer with Jesus' name.

I dont think that it is usually said at the end of a prayer. I think it is said usually in the belief that everyone is in agreement with the prayer, but that is not the only time one can say that.

No...and the words themselves are usually misuderstood, often used as something like an incantation. To ask for or to say anything in someone's name means to say or ask for what that person would say or ask for. When Jesus said, "If you ask for anything in my name, I will do it," it doesn't mean he will do just anything, because there are some things we can't ask for in his name (to bring down fire on my enemies, for example!). In fact, that's what it means to take the Lord's name in vain - not "swearing," but misusing God's name by applying it to things that are contrary to God. So...it's not the words, it's the spirit. EVERY prayer needs to be "in Jesus' name," and using the words is in itself a prayer...that my will be brought into conformity with His, and that he will make it clear if what I am asking is not in His will.

Certainly not. That phrase is just a mini-prayer tacked on the main one, or a witnesses of profound, personal belief.

And Jesus may be the cause of this being said, "Whatsoever you ask in my name...", you know?

Prayers are usually ended that way because Jesus is the one that intercedes on our behalf to God.

It says in the Bible that if you call on the name of Jesus then it will be given to you

No... it isn't required. People do it because Jesus said whatever you ask in my name I will provide. Plus, Jesus is our advocate to the Father, so we are to come to him in his son's name.
