I am a Registered Dietitian in NYC and I keep seeing all these people post questions about how they can lose a ton of weight in a very short period of time.

Let me break it down for you. It is very unhealthy for you to lose more than 2 pounds per week first of all. Losing weight too quickly puts too much of a strain on your body.

Also, you know that phrase "If it looks too good to be true, it probably is"? Well, guess what? It's true!!! All of these diets and diet pills and promise to make you lose 100 pounds in a month DO NOT WORK!!! And even if they do make you lose a little bit of weight, you will most likely gain it right back once you stop the diet or diet pills.

The only way to lose weight in a healthy and safe way is with a proper diet and exercise program. So, please stop asking how to lose 50 pounds in a month, it's not going to happen!!

I have a 1 year old son. He is just starting to eat table food. I want to make sure he eats the healthiest diet possible and not to turn to junk. Can you please give me some suggestions for foods that are very healthy (other than fruits and veggies :) Thanks!!

I want to make my own gamemaker games, and I was wondering if anyone knows knows any sites (or if you yourself have any) to get free sprites (pictures, drawings, photos, etc. for objects, characters, etc.) game music, editable game files where I can see how other people made their games, etc.? Even non-editable game files made with gamemaker that I can play will help to give me ideas on what I could do. I need advice on how to do some coding as well. I took a course and learned the basics of gamemaker and Torque, but I have no coding/script experience. (Other than the gamemaker website.) I know of a few, but I could always use more!

I was on a packed full elevator. This dirty old man was in there and farted big time when the door closed.....I mean he really let it rip.

A family friend is getting married this weekend and I was not invited. I'm fine with it...I know weddings are expensive and we're not that close and on top of all that I can't afford the types of gifts this couple wants.

My sister (a bridesmaid) decided to call this friend and tell her that I'm dying to come to her wedding now the friend thinks that I'm begging to go. My sister and I have issues because she wanted to buy a home together and I was cool with that until she went and got a realtor and picked out a house that we would be purchasing together all on her own without including me....I backed out (of course) and she's held a grudge ever since. I have 3 other invitations to other engagements this weekend (one of which is another wedding), if this friend sqeezes me into her guest list and I don't go, I'll be hated on and if I do go, I'll be putting myself in debt just to get a gift. I'm thinking I should call her and explain what's up but I'm not sure if that's the way to

why won't Bush help the elderly and allow stem-cell research to take place ? There are elderly with cancer and diseases and diabetes and why is Bush just letting them die and not helping them by allowing research to take place to help these sick people ? My boyfriend and I are having a long distance relationship in the same country. Since we talk long time on the phone every night and he gets tired next day at work, he asked me today "Please push me to sleep, otherwise I do not get off th phone". And today again we were talking till late, and I said "We shold get off the phone and sleep", then he said "You could have said that earlier on..." by smiling. Then he said smiling "I make decision and you take responsibility, or either have to do it visa versa".. I first did not like this comment as if I felt as if I were mothering him.
