In Baltimore, MD and in Charlotte, NC, riots broke out in the cities downtown areas after Tuesday nights fireworks. Predominantly young black men and some hispanics came to the festivals with intentions of starting chaos. They brought bottle rockets, cherry bombs and even guns to use towards each other and then at the police, when they arrived in full riot gear.
It was the actual footage of the riots that upset me so much; All the participants were so young, and they were 90% black. Why do they do this?! Doesn't it just exacerbate the race and violence issues we already have?? Even black congressmen and city council officials are cringing after seeing what they did. If any of you fall into this catagory of delinquents, what is your point? Don't you realize that your making a negative statement about your ethnicity??

Ok - I am finally with the most amazing man. But I tend to have a pattern with relationships -- when I fall for someone, I forget about me. My self-esteem is so tied to what THEY think, THEY feel, etc...and at no fault of theirs, do I put all my self-worth into our relationship. When I am single, I am very confident, strong, etc...but maybe it is the fear of being left or not good enough that makes me focus sooo much on the relationship at hand. Is this normal? How do I balance this? This man is so important to me and does NOT force me to focus only on him or anything. He is supportive and loving but I feel my insecurities grow the closer we get. How do I RELAX and truly just ENJOY our relationship without overthinking EVERYYYYTHING?!! lol. HELP

I am looking for a movie that was shown on cable in the 80's alot about a poor Black Australian family. I cannot rememmber the name but in one seen a young woman just had a baby she did not want and she purposely dropped the new born on the tile floor of the hospital bathroom but the staff thought it was an accident. Another seen was when her mom was burned trying to pull some clothes out of a trash bin. She did not know it was on fire.

I've just started reading a book called 'A FORTUNE TELLER TOLD ME' about a guy journalist who goes to see a fortune teller in Hong Kong in 1976 where he tells him that he must not fly anywhere in the year 1993 or he will crash. When it gets to 1993 the man decides to go everywhere by other means of transport, then an urgent job comes up in the March where he MUST fly to make it on time. He turns it down and a German collegue goes in his place - the helicopter crashes killing everyone!! Divine intervention? Must be! What are your experiences with fortune tellers and the supernatural?!
