Some western cultures seem to have a lot of weird misconceptions about Africa. Like when I told someone I'd gotten to ride a motorcycle while visiting family, he was all surprised to learn that there were cities and cars and stuff there. And he believed lions roamed the streets and people lived with them. Don't people realize that Africa is not like that? There were civilizations in Africa before Europeans "discovered it," and they don't all live in huts or walk barefoot. Why don't people know anything about what Africa is actually like?

I am an amateur photographer, looking to enter any kind of photography contests to recieve some recognition, possibly get my name known somewhere besides my little town. US army is doing a good job in Iraq, these brave soldiers have raped & killed an Iraqi girl with her whole family (children's & women) then they burned them, is there any action more brave like this, I think NO, American always keep the primacy in developing the nasty actions, nasty in the normal standards, but based on American standards this kinds of acts consider BRAVE, do all of you have honor? Do you think your black history can bear anymore?

I do not like killing, but now I found the reason why I feel comfortable when I hear an assassin has been killed in Iraq or wherever in the world, and believe me most people on the earth share me this feeling.

today i went to check my e~mails and there was one for My Husband and it was from a girlfriend and i opened it really by mistake and it said will he meet her for lunch! all this i miss you and love you and i need you was there and he left in a hurray i asked him were he was going he said he'd be back later now what should i do ask him about it or leave or e~mail the other lady and say hey thats my husband i am shocked i never thought this would really happen to me!!!!we are really newly weds just married last month ! My ex gf is psycho and I know it. She has self mutilated herself, smokes pot too much, lost her 4 children because of dope, compulsive liar,attempted suicide twice since ive known her. We break up on and off again from time to time. Sometimes by her decision sometimes mine. Yet she constantly tells me I have her heart, body,mind and soul. Also says that I am the best she ever had and will never find someone as good as me but she cant commit. when we break up she emails me about things she is trying to accomplish in life and begs for my approval. I try moving on yet she always wiggles her way back into my life. She is 30 and I am afraid if she hasnt changed for the good by now she never will. Everytime she makes an accomplishment soon she reverts back to her destructive behavior. What does she want from me? Help me understand her. She wont tell me. Will she ever change for the good?

I am a 17 year old boy. I'm not one of those tough guys that's afraid to show emotion, or anything.

The last time that I cried out of sadness was over 6 years ago. I get the feeling that I want to cry when I see other people crying. That was the case 6 years ago, so I didn't really start it.

I cried about a year ago, but it wasn't because I was sad. I was really, intensely frustrated. I worked really hard for something, and then it just fell through. I don't think that there were any tears; my eyes just got really watery and I was shouting and stuff.

I hear people who say that they cry every night, every week... all of that.
I don't want to be overly emotional, but I'm kind of scared that I'm going to go crazy if something really bad happens.

I don't cry when people die. I've been at funerals and been surrounded by crying people. It's weird, I sometimes feel like an idiot because I come off as this insensitive jerk.

Is this normal? Does anyone else have this problem?

Monster Maker was a Jim Henson short film for TV, and I was 8 years old when I last saw it. I remember a boy looking at a control panel, and a massive animatronic dragon in a warehouse. The dragon was called Ultragorgon.The dragon began to speak to the boy and the boy thought it was real and would have conversations with him. It turned out that the boy's friend or teacher/apprentice, played by Michael Gambon, was actually controlling the dragon the whole time and it wasn't real like the boy thought, however as the film ended you saw the shadow of the dragon as it flew over some houses or something.

Can anyone suggest anywhere I can get a copy of it again? I have tried eBay and took drastic measures by looking on file-sharing programs but no luck. Any suggestions?

Look, I'm not a picky eater. I love the school cafeteria food. I can open a can of Chef-Boy-Ardee and be in heaven. Airplane food? I wish they had seconds. BUt hospital food is disgusting even to me. Is there something weird they have to do to it because its a hospital?
