My friends and me are having a huge arguement over how long you should date someone before you marry them. Allison says a month, Terry says a year, and I say long enough to know you want to get married. What do you think?

Surface tension is the phenomenon that causes water to form into a sphere. Is that the same phenomenon that caused the stars and planets to be spherical (roughly spherical if you want to get technical)? Is it called something else when applied to interstellar bodies?

This (sort of) has to do with the other question I asked, as it's the same guy. But I'd do this for any of my friends.
The problem is, I know someone online who drinks. The guy's a steady drinker. Whenever he has a problem, he takes to the drink. He often talks to me drunk, though his typing doesn't waver. He once said he loved me, and when I told him I didn't appreciate the drinking, he gave it up. For about a month. Then he went back to it.
I'm desperate to stop him, because it's not healthy for him and it shows he doesn't care about anyone. Is there any way to stop or even slightly stem the flow? Thanks for all answers in advance.

I am an American born and raised...and I am so embarrassed when I go overseas and see how most of us (myself NOT included...I have pride in myself) look like slobs. I was in Paris last year, in a nice little cafe with my husband...a few tables away was another US couple. The man had on dirty jeans, dirty sneakers and a t-shirt that he'd cut the sleves off of. He also had on a bud light cap, which he didn't even take off inside. The woman had on a mini skirt and midriff top, both about two sizes too small. I've also been to Amersterdam, London and St. Croix and seen similar things....
What's wrong with people?

I couldn't move my arm for a few minutes after waking up. I had to pick up my arm and move it with my other arm for a little before I could move it somewhat again. It's completely recovered now. What might have happened? It was hanging off the side of the bed when I woke up, but a vein or artery may have been blocked nonetheless.
