TV is on pretty much all day..not that anyone's watching it though. It goes off during dinner and homework but other than that it's on in the background. I guess it's just a habit to listen to the news while doing housework and things like that. The kids don't really sit down and watch it, just sit and play while they listen to spongebob or whatever...

I let my daughter watch up to an hour and a half a day, if she has things done. She has a tiered time limit based upon the channels --
Cartoon Network = 30 mins
Disney Channel, Nickelodeon = 1 hour
PBS, Discovery, Discovery Kids = 1.5 hour
My hope is to get her to choose better quality TV, as well as letting her know _why_ I think those stations provide better quality.

A half hour in the morning during breakfast and an hour at night before bedtime. Other than that the TV is turned off.

Did not have a TV in the house. Children did not watch TV.
Let them do it all they want at friends' houses.
