i was horrifide this spring when i opened my sons folder and saw a paper intitled "the real reason for easter" his teacher made him write "jesus died on the cross for our sins" well that pissed me off i am wiccian now i don't dress in robes and flaunt it around but i do belive in my Goddess. with out causeing a big todo and hopefully with out makeing the news what should i do about teachers assumeing everyone is like them and christian?

Ok why does it stink like amonia? Everytime I go to clean it, my eyes burn and the smell is so overpowering. What does this mean, and can I do anything to prevent it. I have already tried every litter at the pet store. And both cats are neutered. HELP!!!!!

I just set up my tank a couple of weeks ago and put my first fish in about a week ago. My levels are all pretty good except water hardness because the water is very hard in my area. I was going to look at getting a water softner product but somethings I read about certain tropicals say that they actually prefer a harder water.
Should I bother to address this and if so what products or ideas are good for bringing this level down?

I just read an article that said doctors cannot be asked to participate in executions of death row inmates because the Hippocratic oath states they must "first do no harm." Is this true?

If so, let me get this straight. They can perform abortions all the way up until all but the baby's head has been delivered. The baby's only crime was being unwanted.

They can pull the plug on a woman who made no clear request to be removed from life support prior to being incapacitated. The woman's only crime was becoming incapacitated.

They can destroy human lives in the form of embryos for the wing-and-a-prayer hope that it might someday cure something. The embryo's only crime was being created in a lab.

But they can't help execute convicted rapist, murderer, etc. even after he or she has exhausted 10 years worth of appeals because they must "first do no harm?" What's wrong with this picture?

I was sent to a christian school because of the beliefs of my parents and i must say that i cant believe that they were alowed to spoon feed me religion as they did. I am now a strong atheist and cant believe that from birth, children are being read bible stories and being made to attend curch. There are even books such as 'bible stories for children' published. I think this is an absolute discrase and if i had it my way, it would be illegal to even mention the word religion to a child until they are 16 or so and able to truely make their own decisions. I wonder if that was to be the case, how many 16 year olds would actually adopt a religion? Im guessing not very many cos the priciple reason why people believe is because of parental enforcement.

Say you knew a guy for about six years or so. When you come home for vacation from school, you don't call him, but you like to see him at parties and such. You are usually touchy feely flirty with this person, but not intamate. Now you are home for good and have a job. You see this person at a party for the first time sense you have been back perminately. Through the evening you find it easier and more comfortable to be touchy flirty. By the end of the night you and him are holding hands, and kinda cuddling, not really addressing you are doing it, more of just kinda happening. When he leaves, you hug and peck a little. 10 minutes later your kissing, and saying good-by, but not letting go of him. Finilly he is getting bitched at by his friends to go. You asks him to stay. He can't. You finally let go of each other and he says he will call you tomorrow. He calls the following evening. And you do not answer, or return the call. why? ( she is not drunk, and not very loose)
