florida is in a bad position for starters, bordered on two sides by ocean, also there was once a constant low pressure system that used to sit close to the floridian coast, when huuricanes would head in floridas direction they would usually bounce of the system and head out to sea. Now, that system is gone due to the stress weve put on our enviroment leaving florida vulnerable.

Most hurricanes typically start off the Northern Africa coast. Then they shoot across the Atlantic for the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, and Florida is in a bad spot when that happens.

Because of where Florida is on the map, it is closer to where most hurricanes start.

We stick out into the warm water Ocean. Hurricanes feed on warm water and we just happen to be in the way.

Maybe because it's a giant peninsula and is surrounded by water. It also happens to be in Hurricane Alley.

I heard that ,these hurricanes are caused by the warm air from the Sahara Desert. so, the Sahara is directly across the ocean from FL.
