I am graduating college in Dec and I have a job in Reston, VA after graduation. I am looking for suggestions of areas to move to. I am looking for an area that will have alot of other young professionals and things to do. (This summer I lived within walking distance to Main St. in Royal Oak, MI and would love to find a similar area). I have several friends in the DC area so I would like easy access into the city so I can visit them.

Ideally, I need an affordable and interesting area for a young person with an easy commute to both Reston and into the city.

I don't want to be worried with the daily stops and getting back on of a bus tour. I also want to do this around Christmas time, so that the White House will have its tree up. Thanks :o)

I received a gift certificate to the Inn at Little Washington, near DC. Is the food as good as they say? I assume the dress is formal. Any suggestions from those who have been there? Thanks

I'm in DC for this semester (fall06) and I was wondering what else I should do before heading back home (to texas) in December.

I've already done/been to: monuments/memorials, natural history museum, freer/sackler museums, hirshhorn museum, national gallery of art, national zoo, chinatown, adams morgan, dupont circle.

So I'm wondering what is there to do for Halloween, to see the fall foliage (like a hike/walk somewhere?), for thanksgiving weekend.

What about these things?
Air/Space Museum
Capitol/Library of congress guided tours
alexandria
archives
the other smithsonian museums?

Greetings,

I am in need of advice regarding overstay. I had completed six years of my h1b in US and overstayed it by 4 months and 15 days. Now i've come back to chennai to apply for b1 visa thru my new employer. What are the questions i should be prepared for and what kind of documents i should have

i've the paystubs until march'06 and my last 2 years tax returns, and would the visa officer accept if i mention that i overstayed due to my greencard expectations, and that i was waiting to start my greencard processing which got delayed at the end.

I am a first -time traveller to US and flying via London. Is a in-transit visa required for this? I have a valid H1 visa.
