So days are very hot and others are still cool. I would pack several pairs of jeans and several pairs of shorts. If you are coming for fun. Also pack short sleeve shirts, at least one long sleeve shirt and jackets. If you are planning to go to museums, take very little in with you. Everything is check. I usually wear shorts, with pockets, short sleeve short, wind breaker and take a fanny pack. That way I can go quickly through the detectors and enjoy the museums

It is very hot and humid. Unfortunately, it gets worse. If you want to visit Washington D.C I would recommend visiting in late September - early October when the weather is cooler.

Not pleasant. It is hot and humid. Not as bad as July or August but still hot and very humid.
