I am wondering if I can take pictures of the monuments there if I ever travel to Washington D.C. When I flew to New Orleans in 2004, I was told that you can't take pictures of federal buildings. Furthermore, when I was in Baltimore, a travel guide informed me that I couldn't take any pictures in the airport there. So can I take pictures of the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, WWII Memorial or the White House? I don't know for sure if I am going to D.C. next month, but if I have the chance to go, I want to make sure that I know where and where not I am allowed to take pictures. I am interested in relocating to Washington, DC in the future. If I choose to relocate, I will move there after the year 2010. I might have to live on my own and with no family and/or friends around and not being married. If I choose to relocate to Washington, DC, what are the advantages and disadvantages for a single individual to reside in the nations capital and the changers of the surrounding that I will be residing in?

I'm travelling from Raleigh to Pittsburgh, and I'm passing through Washington from I-95N, onto the Capital beltway and onto 270N. I love shopping and I'm hoping there is some good malls near these highways or just off them? I've driven the route before a long time ago and I do remember seeing 2 malls but I never stopped at them.

I'm only looking for ones just off the highway, the one's you can see from the exits.

I've been feeling a bit trapped and empty lately, like being stuck in a box, so I've just decided, tonight, to go on a week-long vacation... My pick is Washington, DC.... for no particular reason though; I have just never been there.

Anyway, if my plan stays, I will be in Washington in 48 hours, but I still have no clue what to do when I get there. I think I will arrive at either Dulles International Airport or Reagan National Airport.

I will be "vacationing" in Washington, D.C on the 13 through the 17 and I have never been there before! My agenda includes dinner theatres, a zoo, Hard Rock Cafe, the Capitol building and the White House, and, of course, the mall - and by that I mean the mile long line up of historical museums, not shopping stores...anybody ever been to any of these places that could help me out? I have a MAJOR MAJOR date in 2 weeks. He's a music producer and he will be in NY for a week or so and before he heads back home he's going to stop and see me here in the MD/DC area. He's MUCH older then me. I'm 19. He's 32 so I need some AWESOME AWESOME ideas for a good date weekend. I'm not sure how long he's staying, Maybe just a night or the whole weekend. Any ideas?!
