I am considering moving to Baltimore from Gaithersburg. Since I work in DC, I worry about the commute being even longer than what I have now.

I need to know times, etc. I can't seem to find them online anywhere.
I also would like to know prices and locations of the metro stations.
I live in Charles Town, West Virginia, what is the closest station to me?

On Tue Dec 26th, on our way to North Carolina, I want to take my 9 year old son to Union Station to see the train exhibit. I think he will also get a kick out of a ride on the Metro. My question is where would be my BEST station to board as far as safety, cost and parking convenience, etc?
The ideal station would be on or close to 95 or 495 (no preference) and have a minimum amount of transfers to/from Union Station. Thanks

Anyone know what the tall, pointy glass building is, just off I-95 at exit 150? It was just recently built...you can see it east of the interstate...it looks kind of like a huge sundial (?) , with a steeple shaped point sticking up at an angle. I keep driving by it, but never have time to stop to see what it is.

At one point in time there was a Greyhound bus from Dulles to Charlottesville. I can't find any schedule for it, or even acknowledgment of its existence on the Greyhound website. Does anyone know if this still exists? If not, any alternative suggestions for getting from Dulles or Richmond Airport to Charlottesville? Any help would be much appreciated.

Can anyone tell me about the Chinatown DC bus service to NYC. Is there any number that I can call and ask? We plan to go on the 29th and 30th of December.

I've made the trip several times before, but the traffic from Woodbridge to Springfield is terrible! Been that way for 20 years that I know of. I'll be driving from Raleigh, NC to Severn, MD and wondering if there's a way to bypass the outer loop / I-95 permanent traffic jam. If not, when (if any) is the best time to get through that area? I know for sure that it's not during the afternoon on ANY day.

I have been talking to my boyfriend for about 1 1/2 weeks and I want to do more than just going to the movies. Does anyone have any suggestions on what we can do? I am up for anything that is in Maryland and maybe even surronding states, but I don't want to go too far. Thanks and Have a Happy Holiday season!

I see some of the big equestrian centers, but can't afford $400 for 8 lessons. I'm preferable looking for someone local to me willing to teach my kids (11, 7) in or around the Manassas, VA area.
Thanks!

My mom told me to reasearch some activities that we could do when we go to Washington DC. They have to be fun for my younger sisters-6 and 7 years old- my younger brother- 11 years old- and of course me- 13.
i also wanted to know if there is an indoor pool because i dont think that i can go another month without swimming.
if not in the DC area, then they can be in Alexandria, VA too because thats mostly where we are going to be

- thanx a bunch

Is there a train that I can catch, or a good bus service? I have never been to either place. I would rather not drive as I am really uncomfortable driving in new places, and it will be rush hour.
