I am really looking for any information dealing with rentals, particularly townhouse rentals, rentals that allow pets (I have a 120 pd choc lab very well trained), the good and bad areas of Columbia as well as any positive or negative things about Columbia in general, resturants, and or the surrounding areas of Columbia that may also be nicer places to live. I've heard that Ellicott City is also very nice. Any information about anything would be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone from the DC area tell me what it is like there Memorial Day Weekend? Is it as crowded as July 4th? My in-laws went July 4th a few years ago and said it was so crowded they couldn't see or do anything. We were thinking about coming for Memorial Day but will it be hectic? I understand that there will probably be observances and such and that is fine with us, we would love to see those take place (and allow our 10 year old son to see those).

Thanks!

I am planning on bringing my family to Washington, DC for spring break. We are looking for a place to stay that is affordable, convenient and fun. Which would be the best areas for us to look at? Any suggestions?

I have never been to DC before and I am looking for a cheaper high quality vacation package. It looks like Bethesda, MD has this option. I want to spend most of my time in DC city. Is there a Metro stop in Bethesda to downtown DC or would it be more practical to pay the extra money and stay closer.
Please help.

This will be my first time on an airplane and I'm flying US Airways from Charlotte, NC to Washington,DC (Reagan Airport). I have no idea of what to expect from parking at CLT to finding the Metro in DC. I'm traveling with 2 pieces of luggage (planning on checking one in [however I do that]) and bringing my laptop. I'm buying tickets online this weekend. No advice is too simplistic or minor. Thanks for the help.

I am interested at staying at the Courtayrd by Marriott Dunn-Loring/Fairfax in Virginia (DC area). However, I do not know if their rooms have minifridges and/or microwaves. Do they?

I can't seem to find either anywhere. Castle is in Canada and I can get it in Ohio. Savannah I haven't seen in the states at all.
