It is possible but not likely... and definitely not a lot if they do get any. I don't think DC has gotten 2-3 feet of snow at one time EVER, much less in March.

About 12 years ago when I was in high school, 9th grade I think, we got over a foot (maybe up to 18 inches or so)..... which was the most snow the DC area had gotten in about 70 years.... and we got out of school for a little over a week. But that was in January or February.

Generally not likely, and when you get March snow in Washington, it typically isn't a lot of it.The biggest March snow event in recent memory (1999) was 8.4". The biggest March snow ever was 12" (1891). Historically, the average is only 1.6" total snowfall for the month.

it has been know to snow in the DC/MD/VA area in march and when it does it's really big. We haven't had any snow this year which makes every one think it will be snowing late into 2007

It could. The weather is iffy that time of year. It could be snowing, it could be 60. Check the weather right before you go.

Maybe. It all depends on the weather.
