Well it depends what you are looking for. I suggest a nice dinner downtown and then hit up a lounge for drinks/cocktails for ing in the new year. You could try Georgetown, 18th street (lots of bars there) or Adam's Morgan.

But they are still giving away tickets on the radio station. Other than that I'm sure I've heard of a few bars holding parties, but most of those have been booked too... I've resolved to sit at home I guess.. Unless I somehow win some tickets =)

many communities offer First Night celebrations with family oriented events. Check the Washington Post website for area events.
