Here is the latest on White House tours from an actual Member of Congress:

Tours of the White House are available to parties of 10 or more people regardless of age or type of group, however tours must be requested through a Member of Congress. My office is pleased to help you obtain a guided congressional tour of the White House during your visit to our Nation's Capitol. I recommend you request a tour eight to ten weeks in advance. Tours are very limited, so please make your request as soon as possible. Requests can be made by writing or calling my Washington, D.C. office. The address is at the bottom of the page.

The White House requires detailed security information before they will grant a congressional tour. To expedite your request, please provide me with the following information for each member of your group:

Full Name
Date of Birth
Social Security Number
Country of Origin

Group tours are scheduled Tuesday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tour schedules are dependent on official events taking place in the White House.

For the most current information, I recommend contacting the White House 24-hour Visitors Office Information Line at (202) 456-7041.
