Luigi's in midtown is a reasonably priced sit down Italian restaurant with great atmosphere.
5 guys is a great hamburger joint that's all about the burgers & fries. It is that good. No atmosphere, but again, the burgers are great. They are located all over town.
You want a surprise, check out the places to eat in the Smithsonian Museums. The food in the National Gallery of Art is first class.
If you want the best place to check on local restraunts, check out the following website:http://www.washingtonian.com/restaurantreviews/3/index.html

Washington DC heavily isn't familiar for this is high quality cuizine. i've got had this communique with some high quality cooks over the yeairs, and that they/all of us agree; the secret to stable nutrition is at the beginning stable water. Water is a key ingrediant in only approximately each little thing. Cooking pasta? you choose for water. Making bread? you choose for water. The DC section gets its water from the muddy Potomac River. on the different hand, manhattan city is familiar for its great nutrition. the place does manhattan city get its water? The crystal sparkling streams of the Adirondack Mountains in upstate manhattan. staring on the solutions right here i think i'm maximum intrigued with the help of those given with the help of melir23. i've got no longer eaten at maximum of those places, yet they sound thrilling. the only one i could scratch off my record could be Clyde's - that place is a fern bar...approximately one step up from the sitdown places at maximum suburban procuring department shops.

Union Station.
I went to Washington D.C. last summer with my family, and that is where we mainly ordered our food. They have millions of different choices. It was also great, because our hotel was 5 min. walking distance away from it.
If you want authentic chinese food, that is only a 10-15 min. walk from Union Station. It can be inexpensive, too.
