I'm transferring to Phoenix for my work, and I need to know where the best neighborhoods/ regions to live would be, within 20 miles of the airport. I'm 24, don't mind living in a college student neighborhood, or someplace a bit suburban-y. I don't care about school districts or anything, just safety and cleanliness and nice neighbors.

I fell in love with Arizona's hot wether. I want to make a move out there for many reasons. I don't want to miss out on what L.A. has to offer. So, is there any attractions somewhat similar in Arizona as there is in L. A?ex: nightclubs, Lakes, amusement parks, etc.

We'll be going there either for Thanksgiving or Christmas vacation. I've been there alone and had a good time, but I need activities he'll enjoy. Is there a good zoo there? I heard there's a wild animal preserve near Phoenix? Anyone have comments on whether it's worth it? He's going to have spending money so any names of toy stores/hobby shops (he collects coins) would be great. He has a broad range of interests so any suggestions would be appreciated. Oh, and restaurants he might like. I know of a pizza place near ASU that has great pizza and the best chocolate chip dessert, but that's it. Thanks.

I have no respect for Chavez and I dislike him coming to our country and bashing our country and its leaders. Regardless of political stance it was wrong to do that in the way that he did.

Since my vacation back in July, I went to Phoenix and California for the 1st time. In LA I really enjoyed Knotsberry farm and Venice beach. didn't get to really visit any monumental things there but I just enjoyed driving thru the communities and enjoying the sun. If I do decide to go with Phoenix since I have done more research on that, what communities would you suggest I start with? I have a teenage boy. Customer Service/ Admin Asst is my occupation so finding employment should not be so difficult, but I would of course do that before relocating.

I will be visiting Phoenix in January '07 and would like to play a couple of rounds of golf. I will be staying at either Sheraton Wild Horse Pass or the Westin Kierland. Are there any golf courses that would be considered premiere courses for the Phoenix/Scottsdale area? Thanks

"if by "nice" you mean unbearable ******* heat. You can hardly breathe the air its so thick and musty."

Is this true? Btw, I'm from New York where it gets to 95-100 with high humidity every year...so I'm thinking 120 degrees with no humidity is like nothing?
