I am taking my first plane ride in 15 years. I am a little nervous about how things work now. I have an e-ticket that I will download the day before. Anyone have ins and outs of traveling that is good information to have?

+ The fast and easy of it is to print your ticket the day before, bring it with you to the airport early, and don't use any carry on luggage. Put all your keys and wallet and change (metal stuff) in your coat pocket and send it through the security conveyor along with your shoes and belt buckle. you will spend less time at security and can pray that your checked luggage arrives with you. news paper or magazine are usefull for entertainment while waiting for the plane to board.

Good Luck

Wear shoes that are easy to take off (most security lines require this.)

E-tickets are often dispensed from a kiosk at the ticket agent, so don't fret if you don't print one out.

You can't take water or any beverage (or ice cream) on board w/ you; and check your baggage if you need to take toothpaste, shampoo, etc.(gels or liquids)
