My husband's company is looking to transfer him, and Pennsylvania seems to be a strong possibility. It seems that he would be working in Maryland, but most the people that work there live in the York area.

Im not sure what to expect other than a brief trip we took last December to Maryland (and I had a good laugh at some Pennsylvanians that bragged that they were "rednecks" and not 5 minutes later pointed out a "flock of deer" on the side of the road). All I really know is that it will be cooler than it is here, especially in the winter and that towns and cities are closer together.

What is the culture like? How are the temperatures in the summer? How is the humidity and allergens? What about finding a job? Also, I have my associates, but I am working towards my BA, do you think it will be easy to transfer (Im majoring in Special Ed)? Any insight would be great

We are visiting Philadelphia and are looking for a beach that is about 90 minutes away that would be good for a family with a 4 year old.

I'm looking for a nice, safe and wealthy area to live in around Philadelphia that is within 15-20 minutes driving distance from University City and Center City. I'm looking for an area compared to King of Prussia but is a bit closer to center city.

I'm gonna be going too new england and don't want to have to go thought nyc to get there. I know there is a way from the philadelphia (pa) area where I can avoid NYC. Anybody know how to get to New Enland (the New Haven, CT area) with out going into NYC??

P.S. I know if I do not go into NYC i'd still have to go into New York state.

Thanks a bunch

Me and my husband (and two preschoolers) are thinking of moving to PA from Miami Beach, FL. We have no idea which parts are good/bad. This is what we are looking for: Good schools, affordable housing (home for 200k or less w/ 3 bedrooms), quiet neighborhood but close to city. We dont want a collegetown, we arent into clubs or nightlife. We mainly want a nice, quiet, scenic place to live with friendly people and good schools. I want a change from the busy lifestyle here in Miami but am not looking for a place where Walmart is the "hot spot". Please tell me which cities to look into as well as typical day in that city (if youre from there) We are in mid 20's. Thanks so much.

I am looking for restaurants in Drexel Hill and the surrounding area... Broomall, Havertown, Upper Darby, Lansdowne, Springfield, etc. I like trying new places of all types and I have searched online for restaurant reviews in Delaware Co. and keep finding a lot in Media but little else. Any suggestions?
