I really like New Hope. Great restaurants, shopping and arts. The landscape & architecture in New Hope is pretty impressive as well.

Doylestown is way over near the Montgomery County line, but it is a nice area. New Hope is a little town by the river which is a bit touristy and busy on the weekends and in the summer, but maybe that is what you're looking for :)

Bensalem..no way! If you want to be in Bucks County, why live in the low end near the Philadelphia county line! Also, I think Levittown and Bristol are on the low end economically, you may want to avoid those areas as well!

I live in Washington Crossing, but I have to agree in the New Hope - Solebury area. The area isn't overly developed (yet). The school district is small, but pretty good. I cycle in and around the Upper Makefield and New Hope areas. There are a lot of beautiful places.

Further north along the river is also very nice!

Langhorne... Close to interstate 95, Route 1, and the PA Turnpike. Okay school system, and decent taxes. And most of all, great shopping and restraunts nearby. Even a few decent places to drink....

New Hope/Solebury Township (if you can afford it)...absolutely gorgeous scenery, beautiful homes, the upscale, artsy atmosphere of New Hope/Lambertville.
