Prior to moving to Philly, I used to stay at a Holiday Inn Select occasionally. I think it's at 12th and Market.

Well, how much are you trying to spend?
$ up to 100 maybe you can rent a room at Holiday Inn and other inn or motel 6, also there is a Japanese restaurant on 2nd street where they have a hotel in the back of their restaurant. Well try to search Madame Saito online and where they are located. I have been there and its pretty. They have like Japanese theme, plus you have breakfast at the room for no additional charge. Its about 95 per night.
A lot of people when they are staying in Philly, try to book a room at like motel kind of like because 1 week is about $ 150. Hope this helps.
You can always email me if you need help.

Last Fall I got a room there on a weekend for less than $120/night. We had a AAA card, but that's not how we got it so cheap. Apparently, if a relative goes to a nearby university - such as my sister at Thomas Jefferson - they offer a "family rate" that's even cheaper than the AAA rate (about $135/night). Don't know if that's always true, or if we just happened to be there on a special weekend.

Try the Alexander Inn at 12th & Spruce. The rooms are very reasonable & quite nice for the price. Great location within walking distance to everything in Center City

Try the Hyatt on Columbus Ave. It's right on the river. And very close to all the attractions. It's a very nice resteraunt. And you can request a room with an riverview. Or a cityview. Hope this helps!
