I want to take a vacation, but I only have the weekend to take it. I want to go somewhere that is less than...I guess an 8 hour drive from Birmingham. I wouldn't mind going to the beach, but I have already been to the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area, and I want something new. Which means no to Gatlinburg or Atlanta either. Does anyone have any suggestions?

We will be a mid to late 20's family with one kid and one dog relocating from Phenix City, AL to Birmingham area after I get out of the Army.Were both originally from Panama city, FL, . Wife is an accountant, I will be seeking employment with local law enforcement. Looking for a place that is relatively safe, good schools, house prices that match our jobs, a big backyard, the best possible place to raise a family. We'll be looking to buy.. I have asked similar questions before, but the closer we get to our move, the more nervous I get.

My family and I are moving to SLC in September. We are pagan and artsy, borderline neo hippie, lol. He is going to college for massage therapy and I work from home as a tarot reader. Our son will be home schooled.

I don't have a problem with Mormons, my husband was raised Mormon and excommunicated himself when he was 16. But I have been told they may have a problem with us. I keep hoping this isn't the case, but from what I have been told, I am nervous.

Can someone tell me what to expect? Where are more liberal places to live? Any other advice would be nice :) Thanks!

My parents and I will book a reservation fee for Motel 6 in Irvine,CA.....and my question is...

when i book the reservation online w/ a credit card, does it deduct the payment right away? and IS the reservation fee FREE??..i mean...when i reserve a room online w/ the cc, does it automatically pay for the rooms or do i have to pay a separate fee for the room by the time i get there in Irvine??

bottom line is: is reservation fee free?...or when i pay $220 online, is it just to reserve it or is it the MAIN fee FOR the ROOM??

Okay, I just drove into northern Texas (near Armarillo) and there are bugs EVERYWHERE! Cricket/cockroach things all over. Is Dallas also like this? What about Miami Florida, are there bugs like here?

im 19 and was wondering if I can rent a room to stay there to enjoy the ebach, but I hear so much about people under 21 cant get a room in Wildwood Nj. I wanted to go to the Sea Kist or the El conrondao. Please are there other hotels and motels rent to 19 years old
