We know the disney hotels would be the best option, but they are more than we want to spend. Are they any inexpensive hotels with great pools and maybe even a slide?

I'm moving to LA to go to college for film production and I really want to meet famous or relatively famous people, like on a person-to-person basis. I'm a pretty good-looking guy (2 model scouts have come up to me before and asked me about modelling on separate occasions) and I come from a well-off family, I drive a BMW and I'm pretty fun to be around. So, if I went clubbing or out to eat at LA celebrity hot-spots often, do you think I could meet famous people? And when I say meet, I mean exchange phone numbers and hang out and stuff. 1) because it would be really cool, and 2) because it would help to know people in the industry,
