Yes. I lived in Hollywood in the 50s. Lived in Sun Valley after that for about 13 years. Lots of interesting places to go and see.

I used to work there, and it was awful! It might be fun to go down there sometimes to go to a club and party, but I wouldn't recommend it for anything else. There is no glitz and glamour - just homeless drug addicts who literally crap all over the streets.
This is what you would walking down Hollywood Blvd:
Hooker, tattoo shop, bong shop, homeless person sleeping, homeless person's fecal matter, stripper clothing store, tattoo shop, more homeless people bumming money, Scientologists trying to scam you into their religion, person shooting up heroin, tattoo shop, bong shop, hooker.
Doesn't sound like much fun does it? And this is the TRUTH. Melrose Avenue is a little better, but not much.

I used to work there. A lot of drugs but not a big problem if you are not involved. Busy at night.

I was born on Sunset Blvd. (Hospital @ sunset & Edgemont) & spent most of my mis-spent youth on Hollywood Blvd & surrounding areas.

Yeah, and it was alot smaller than I expected and full of pretentious egotiscal idiots.
San Francisco is WAY better.
