Preferably for a group of maybe 4 - 5 people.
Will drink.
Maybe around $20 - $45 / per person for dinner.
Some place that's walking distance from The Hilton Hawaiian Village?

Thanks!

My husband and I are going to Maui for a week in November and are looking for good restaurants. Preferably nothing chain-related, we want real local fare. Thanks!

You know that small hill where you zigzag up in your car and there's an open area where you can see the amazing Honolulu City lights.
My friend took me there 6 yrs ago and I want to go again but my friend doesn't live there anymore. I'll be going to Hawaii this weekend and I really really really wanna check that place out again. I'm renting a car just for that.

If you can give directions I'll appreciate it!
Starting address will be 2005 Kalia Road Honolulu, Hawaii 96815 (The Hilton Hawaiian Village)
Mahalo!

Looking at the weather, it seems it is going to rain every day we are there. Is the weather different around the island of Oahu or should we just accept we will probably won't be seeing the sun. This is our first trip to Hawaii and we were hoping to spend time on the beach

looking for a fun place to live with other hipsters my age. Mid 20s to early 30s. Want to live in Honolulu, but somewhere with more of a local feel to it versus a tourist feel, if at all possible. Any help would be great! cheers!

I will be leaving for Oahu tomorrow and will be there for 6 days. I am going to help my sister with her new baby but hope to spend two days or nights seeing sights.

I would appreciate recommendations for

The best Beach-least crowded with tourists. (I am coming from essentially Wisconsin and can see fat tourists in bathing suits at our indoor water parks!)

Best Recreation options; perhaps kayaking, surf lessons; snorkling, or ?

Least Cheezy Luau!

Best Sushi/Best Seafood resturant. I'm looking for the best food-I don't care so much about the atmosphere provided it is not a shopping mall food court type.

Best Nightlife-bar hopping plan (prefer locals to tourist traps)

THANK YOU!

I am a 32 year old male, and am attracted to the people and the environment. I do not know that much about employment options in Honolulu, or the availabilty of housing. Coming from Seattle I am used to paying a bit more, but prices there sound scary! My other concern about moving to Hawaii is being White and more or less 'colonizing' what was once a sovereign Hawaiian nation. I have read that there are still big issues with this, any information would realy be great!

Or moved from Hawaii?
Or currently live there?
What's it like?
I absolutely love it there and am considering relocating. However vacation is one thing, but living there is something else entirely.

I would like to be fairly close to Honolulu, but not in the city. Also, would like a pretty surrounding, but does nto have to have ocean views. Safety and crime are also issues. So is affordability.

Thanks.

Are there any restaurants and places to see for a few hours? I just found out that my rental car won't be available for about 5 hours when I arrive, so I have a few hours to spend near the airport.
