going to Waikiki at the end of the month. Thought about buying a board and bringing it. I live in Maine so, it wouldn't really get much use here and I am not sure what would be involved brining it on the plane. Are there any deals on renting a board or buying it used? I don't want to get ripped off

Hello everyone!

I'm trying to find a relatively secluded, romantic beach close to Honolulu where in March (I'm emphasizing March because as you probably know ;-) the sunset view is different throughout the year) the sunset can be seen in all its beauty, going down and touching the ocean, not mountains or roofs of houses. Could you give me some suggestions?

I am travelling with my 19 yr old daughter and 18 yr old son in late November 06. We want to visit the volcanoes and telescopes .. would prefer a local B & B or homestay/backpackers? We would prefer to stay where we can meet other people rather that just be in a hotel room. .. We are from Brisbane australia..any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

But then the more you learn about Hawai'i you feel like your invading? I love Hawai'i and I wish I could live there, and I love the rich culture and history of the Hawaiian people. I'm sad for all the island people that whites have literally 'stolen' it with capitalism, and asians made it too expensive for even native Hawaiians to live there. While travelling from chicago to hawaii united airlines piolets ask a math question. And the person witht the closest calculated answer wins a prize. The question is something like... If you are travelling at x mph and for 1/2 the trip and y mph for the remainder of the trip, then what time will you arive at the exact 1/2 way point?
