or do you need to be 18 for that?

you might have to have "an adult" buy the ticket,
but you can fly alone.

I'm pretty sure you won't have any problem... If they won't let you use cash, then buy one of those "prepaid" credit cards and use that to purchase the ticket.

you can buy a ticket when you get a visa. you can travel by yourself though.
