according to my calculations, hawaii sinking 2"/year, i would say it would take approximately the extinction of humans on earth years before the pacific would swallow the hawaiian islands.

Never, the big island is still getting bigger every day as the volcano pushes more lava out into the sea. Maui stopped growing in size like 100 years ago, but all of the islands will grow again due to the volcanic activity.

Alternative answer: Hawaii will get swallowed up by the pacific never to be seen again shortly after you purchase your non-refundable vacation to Waikiki.

wow! a tough question. i love hawaii and i don't want the island get swalowed by the Pacific!! Only God knows. But I think it's in the end of the day.
