I will be arriving at 7:30 am on a weekday morning, so I am really concerned about traffic. I need to get to Golden, which is directly opposite of the airport on the other side of metro Denver. (Golden on the E, airport on the W). Also, 470 looks to be a tollway, how much will it cost to go from the airport to Golden?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm headed to Denver in a couple of weeks, and I'm going to try to get to Coors Field for a game. Any tips? Things not to miss? Best (affordable) seats? Thanks for all advice.

What makes Boulder a good place to live? Are there any other towns that one might recommend in Colorado?

I know it snows and never lived in it, but I'm looking forward to it. I have a sports car (RX-8) so please express your thoughts about gettin around town in the winter. (snow tires enough? Chains? Get a second vehicle?) I heard the public transportation was good there, can I just use that in the winter time? So if you live in the Denver area, then say hello, leave a comment, tell me your favorite spots, favorite activities, things to do, places not to live (that would be REALLY helpful). Since on a map it all looks kosher. Thanks for your thoughts. I've got wow, so I'm not afraid of being snowed-in. :).

How much time should I allocate? Are there hikes or is it more of a drive through scenic route?

I have lived in Denver now for just one year (moved from LA) man what a place I can't say enough good things about it. People often ask me how I like it there and I seem to probably freak them out with an endless amount of explanation. I just want some other opinions?

I am moving up in a month and have a car that is too lightweight to run on ANY snow. In the winter, do they typically get all snow off the roads, or are there long stretches with snow/ice on the roads? I'm also thinkinng about trading in the ol car for a new one (if I won't be able to drive it). Bonus points for good, safe, AWD midsize car recommendations!

I moved here from DC 2 years ago... Nightlife sucks. Half the people are unsophisticated church going conservatives who think "culture" is a broncos game.

Where are all the singles?? There are almost no nightclubs, nice urban neighborhoods etc.

*Yawn*

Anyone know anything fun to do in denver? I am not a huge outdoorsey person.

I'm going this summer to check it out. What neighborhoods are decent & which ones should I avoid? In other words: in what area should I go apt. hunting? I can't afford to spend more than $700 a month for rent either on a decent one a a decent NON GHETTO hood.

It seems like a GREAT place to live.

Excellent climate...
Low cost of living...
Naturesque; Great public park system...
Fresh air...
Decent job market...
Crime rate not terrible...
Culture...

Is there a catch? It seems like a great place to live.

I don't mind the cold. In fact, I absolutely love cold, and snow.

The only thing I can really think of negative is getting used to thin air (I live at sea level), and the whole sunshine/UV ray deal.

I am planning on moving to Denver, Colorado and would like to live in a small town that has beautiful mountain views, but is not too far from the city where I will have to work. Any suggestions from someone who knows the area?

I am thinking of moving up there in a few years from "Hotsun", TX & going up there this summer to check it out. I know it will be hot but I am sure it can't be as bad as Houston in July ( 95 degrees w' a 100 deg. heat index & 99% humidity. I assume everyone wears shorts in the summer up there just like here, correct?

My girlfirend and I are thinking about moving to Colorado from Oregon. What do people think of the Denver Metro Area? What is the public transportation like? What is the weather like? Oregon is super humid and it rains over 200 days out of the year and its almost always couldy, even in the summer. What is the job market out there like? And how about entertainment?
