Idaho Springs is west of Denver (about 30-45 minutes away) and has a hot springs, but I think there's fees involved.

It is a ways west of Denver, but well worth the drive to Glenwood Springs to the Hot springs pool It is approx 180 miles drom Denver

Go white water rafting! Its a little expensive of course but SO much fun!! We went to Idaho Springs and had a blast :-)

Otherwise, there are always campgrounds along the rivers. I think most you can find a spot to swim.

If you are looking for a natural body of water to go swimming in, you will freeze to death unless you go to a hot springs! But there are a lot of those in Colorado. See the website below to help you find a good one.

Eldorado Springs, outside of Boulder in Eldorado Canyon. Nice drive.

Chatfield state park, near C-470 and Wadsworth, Bear Creek park (jeffco park) Morrison rd and C-470. Both have sandy beaches and the water isn't all that cold in the summer months

You can go tubing down the river in Lyons. The water is very cold though.
