I will be arriving at 7:30 am on a weekday morning, so I am really concerned about traffic. I need to get to Golden, which is directly opposite of the airport on the other side of metro Denver. (Golden on the E, airport on the W). Also, 470 looks to be a tollway, how much will it cost to go from the airport to Golden?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You'll have to takr I-70. If you take 470 around the city, it's a heck of a lot farther, and you'll run into even worse traffic once you get off the tollway and onto the free portion of C470 to get up to Golden.

The traffic on I-70 will be fairly heavy, but you're going the right way - the sun glare going east makes the other direction the worst way.

Go here to calculate what your toll would be:

As far advising you on which way to go....I can't really say for sure. I do know that when we have to go down to anywhere in Denver to deliver cars, it seems like the traffic is always horrible. We take the tollway a lot because the traffic is so light.
Hopefully someone else can chime in with better advice about that part.

look at Castlewood Canyon. It’s a quick rigidity down Parker highway (perhaps approximately 15-20 minutes out of Denver) and provides a scenic little canyon to hike around in. It’s a super hike for early spring or previous due fall whilst the mountains are putting out to get slightly chilly because of the fact Castlewood Canyon isn’t interior the mountains and remains slightly warmer. not risky for single hikers as there are continually adequate different persons close by and it’s exceedingly lots impossible to get misplaced there. canines on leashes are ok. additionally you get to work out the remains of a dam that collapsed some hundred years in the past and flooded Denver.
