I'm in Portland Oregon now and I moved here from Wisconsin 6 years ago. I'm thinking of moving to Denver for graduate school. I don't own a car, so I would use public transit. I'm age 32 and want to live in a safe and trendy urban neighorhood close to downtown - any ideas?

I'm going to Colorado in a couple months and I want to see the montains close up. I usually just make it to Denver when in Colorado, so I need a good place to actually be close to or in the mountains. Places with a great view. Thanks!

We will be going on a week long househunting trip. Our family is me, my wife, a 3 year old boy and a 1 year old boy. We prefer a kitchen to help reduce meal costs.

I'm moving to Colorado from out of state and was wondering if someone could tell me a bit more about the neighborhoods. I want to be close to Denver, but not right in the middle of downtown. Most importantly I want to be in a very safe neighborhood. I've been to Castle Rock and Littleton and loved both of those areas, as well as Highlands Ranch. What's Englewood like? And what about some of the neighborhoods in Denver like Cherry Creek, Greenwood Village...? And what are the areas/cities that I should stay away from? Thanks!!

I am going to Steamboat Springs. It seems most flights are routed into Denver, than a prop plane takes you to Hayden.

I am not willing to take a prop plane into Steamboat Springs, but it seems like they are the only planes that fly into Hayden (from what I see).

So....

1) Does anybody know a way to fly in and avoid a prop plane?

2) Does anybody know a good service for getting a ride from Denver to Steaboat Springs?

3) Or, how scary/foolish is it for someone like me with no ice/mountain driving experience to rent a car and DRIVE from Denver to Steamboat Springs by myself?

...the seasons, the overall weather, Fairview High School in Boulder and the community surrounding it including Toedlti Avenue, cool things to do (for 12 and 15-year-old) and any special places that only "locals" would know about????

Just moved from Wisconsin to California 08-06...now relocating to Colorado...we miss the snow and the seasons...hoping it's similar to Wisconsin's weather...

Thanks

If so, just curious what your experiences were. Is it free to list things, is it safe, did things sell, what do you accept as pay (cash, check, etc.)???

I am looking for a restaurant that serves delicious food, in a classy environment. I would like a restaurant that is in the center of downtown. Meals can not be over 75$ a person!

Thanks.

I served on a ship while in the US Navy with a guy who was a freshman that day and the storys are crazy. He was not in the main part but still, also he told me how Rachel Scott was not a "perfect little cathloic" She was actually rude, smoked and not perfect if you know what I mean.

I am planning a move late this summer (August-September) to the Denver area with my boyfriend and our two dogs. Taking a trip in early August to see the area, do some interviews, and take a look at some apartments. I was wondering what a good place to stay would be? I want to see the sites of Denver but plan on living outside of Denver (if its cheaper and better for the dogs). Not sure if I should get a hotel in Denver, outside of Denver, or if in Denver....where? Any suggestions for visiting and living would be great!

Going to be in Boulder for a conference and want to get in a weekend of skiing before hand. Looking for a resort suitable for an intermediate skier, with good apres ski.

Suggestions for hotels are also welcome. 3- or 4-star, near the lifts.
