I am looking for a restaurant that serves delicious food, in a classy environment. I would like a restaurant that is in the center of downtown. Meals can not be over 75$ a person!

Thanks.

Right Downtown

American: Restaurant Kevin Taylor (will push the $75 limit)

Italian: Panzano

French: Bistro Vendome

Gourmet Mexican: Tamayo

Close to Downtown

American: Palettes

Continental: Painted Bench

All should have websites and available online reviews. I've eaten more than once in all but Kevin Taylor, whose reputation is impeccable. Never had a bad meal at any.

I like Maggiano's Little Italy (500 16th Street ) and PF Changs (1415 15th Street) but they might not be as classy as you would like.

Friends and family have recommended Il Fornaio (1631 Wazee Street), Ruth's Chris (1445 Market Street), Strings (1700 Humboldt St), Racine's (650 Sherman St.), and Morton's (1710 Wynkoop Street).

There are so many great restaurants in Denver, it depends what type of food you want. I love Capital Grill for steak, Sushi Sasa for Sushi, Potager for most anything, and Z-Cuisine for French.

But the best answer is to check out these polls for whatever your favorite restaurant type is...

I agree with a lot of the suggestions you've already gotten. Morton's steakhouse is very good, and for Italian, try Panzano (in the Hotel Monaco) and Il Fornaio.

The Chop House is pretty good and not too expensive by Coors Field, all the local sports stars go there.
